My style is fun and warm in which the woven bamboo pattern is utilized in a variety of urushi works. The materials used are bamboo and kanshitsu (dry lacquer), which make the pieces lighter and less likely to deform. This is a unique method of expression that is practiced only by myself and my students in Japan.
