My grandfather and father both specialized in creating remarkable white porcelain works, expressing a unique sense of beauty through techniques such as naburi (textured modeling) and layering of clay slip.
I also learned these techniques from my father and continue to apply them in my current practice.
Even now, I feel as though my grandfather’s presence and handwork still linger in his pieces.
I hope to continue my work with care each day, aiming to create ceramics that can be used naturally in everyday life.
