Message from Akio Shimada sensei From the early stages of my work, I have focused on creating woodblock pieces featuring himon (ice patterns), inspired by a desire to craft works unique to Hokkaido using locally sourced wood. I hope these pieces bring joy in many ways—enjoying their appearance, lifting the lid, and thinking about what to place inside. ※ As these are wooden crafts, please avoid placing them in areas that are extremely hot, humid, subject to sudden temperature changes, exposed to direct sunlight, or excessively dry.
