We are pleased to announce that Tetsuro Shinoda, President of ARTerrace Inc., will be speaking at the “First Voyage” symposium hosted by the Center for Research and Education in Regional Revitalization and Tourism Management at Kobe University, to be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.
The symposium, titled “A New Scheme for Regional Innovation through the Cruise Ship Asuka: What Roles Can Entrepreneurs, Regional Financial Institutions, and Universities Play?”, will bring together leading experts from industry, government, and academia to explore innovative approaches to regional revitalization from multiple perspectives. In the second session, Mr. Shinoda will deliver a lecture entitled “New Approaches to Regional Revitalization from the Private Sector – Creating New Value through the Synergy of Finance, Traditional Crafts, and Tourism aboard Asuka III.”
He will present an overview of the regional innovation initiatives being implemented aboard the newly launched luxury cruise ship Asuka III, scheduled to begin service in July 2025. Drawing from the initiatives led by Anchor Ship Partners Inc., which he also heads, he will discuss the potential of collaboration between regional finance, traditional craftsmanship, and tourism as a catalyst for sustainable growth.
This symposium is open to both students and the general public. We warmly invite you to join us in reimagining a future society where culture and economy are harmoniously integrated—together with the next generation of regional leaders.
