I imagined a night dew glistening on a peony bud as I created this work. It expresses the life that has gathered strength, preparing to bloom. The decorative kinma is made by carving the surface throughout the vessel to express the lines and overlapping of the flower petals.

I use landscapes that have deeply moved me as the motifs for my artwork. Utilizing the rich color expressions characteristic of Kagawa's urushi work, I imbue my pieces with elements such as the air, light, wind, sound, and scent that were present but invisible to the eye at the time of the inspiration .
