I create artworks using kaga zōgan (kaga metal inlay), a technique handed down in Kanazawa. kaga zōgan specializes in hon zōgan (genuine inlay), of hira zōgan (flat inlay). The artist carves an artwork with a tagane (a metal tool) to a depth of 0.3 cm to 1.8 cm, then inlay another piece of metal. Currently, we are producing artworks not only in Japan but also overseas.
